Our stay in Zanzibar included couple of highlights in terms of food and drinks – some because of the views, some for the food, and some for both.
Nungwi
In Nungwi the thing you want to look for is great views. We had that at couple of places which I can highly recommend:
Rooftop bar of the Z hotel: great place for sundowners

La Saruche restaurant: perfect for romantic dinner on the beach, but book early to get a table on the beach.

The Jetty: 1 km from Nungwi but has an amazing pier over the water. Simply a stunning plac. But be prepared to pay higher prices for the view. Food seemed to be of varying quality, sometimes ok, sometimes excellent.

Stone Town
Lukmaan: the place to go for local cuisine and feel, great value for money but also hot.

Tea House Restaurant: Located on the rooftop of the stunning Emerson on Hurumzi hotel this place is definitely worth a visit. Stunning views, excellent service and very good food.

Elsewhere
Maybe the best known restaurant is The Rock which I have already covered in my earlier post. It’s a super unique place with amazing views and great seafood.
