Morning trail is convenient both day and night as it is always lit with street lights.
While going up morning trail is a great activity on its own, it gets even better when you reach the top and go around the Peak: the night time views to Hong Kong are amazing and if you don’t feel like hiking up, I definitely recommend going up with either bus, taxi or Peak tram just to experience the great views.
You can find the different routes from the blog entry for the day hike on Morning trail, but please note only morning trail, the circle around Peak and Old Peak road are lit at night, to move on the rest at night you need a flash / headlight.
