The moment you step out of the plane and feel the warm breeze is the moment you really feel your holiday has started!
To get to Khao Lak from Phuket international airport I had pre-booked a ride from independent local
taxi entrepreneur (1200 baht = 30€) and the 70km trip north went really quickly while admiring the scenery.
My home for the week was a budget friendly Fanari Khaolak Resort which is centrally located in Khao Lak and just 100m from the beach. The resort had both regular hotel rooms as well as bungalows, which was also where I had chosen to stay. I have to say the place gave value for money: clean accomodations and nice pool areas for only 45€/night!
